About Me.
First let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Joseph C. Easley. I prefer to be called J. C..
I decided to make a change in my career path after many years in customer service and clerical environments.
I served 10 years in the United States Marine Corps, and have traveled the world and gained experience
dealing with people of very diverse backgrounds.
While I was in the Marine Corps I worked as a Personnel Clerk, Cook, and Martial Arts Instructor. In ten
years I had a wide variety of duties, from supervising in a dining facility that fed over 1000 meals a day,
to supervising a Human Resources Customer Service Call Center. I left the US Marine Corps in 2012 after having
completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business from American Military University.
At this point in my life I was living in New Orleans, LA and I was interested in continuing to serve my country.
I pursued this avenue through attending Tulane University. While at Tulane I studied Homeland Security
(counter-terrorism, security, cyber-security, emergency/disaster management, and continuity of Operations planning)
as well as some work in Information Technology. I graduated from Tulane in 2013 with a Masters in Homeland
Security Studies. After graduating I took a job with the US Department of Homeland Security. After about a year
with Homeland Security, I decided to make a change, and pursue a career in the IT field. I had previously done
work in college with HTML and CSS, as well as some project management and networking courses, and have always
had an interest in IT. In December of 2014 I started attending Centriq Training.
So far I have enjoyed my time at Centriq and am looking forward to a bright future in the IT world.
